WHAT DAYS AND TIMES ARE FLIGHTS AVAILABLE?
Weather permitting, we fly every day! Flights usually start around 8:00 am and conclude at approximately 6:00 pm during summer and 5:00 pm during winter. We’ll do our best to be flexible to accommodate your lodge itinerary.
WHAT TIME SHOULD WE ARRIVE?
Please get to the take-off point 15 minutes early to complete safety formalities and attend the briefing.
HOW LONG DOES EACH FLIGHT LAST?
Flight times depend on the scenic route you pick. Weather conditions might mean small route adjustments, but rest assured, our pilots aim to highlight the best attractions for an amazing experience.
WHICH HELICOPTERS ARE USED?
We operate two types of helicopters:
- Bell 206 Jet Ranger: Accommodates up to four passengers (one seated in the front and three in the back).
- Bell 206 Long Ranger: Accommodates up to six passengers (one seated in the front and five in the back).
IS FLYING BY HELICOPTER SAFE?
Safety is our highest priority. We are committed to minimizing risk while ensuring a memorable experience. Our experienced pilots, extensive local knowledge, and well-maintained aircraft provide peace of mind and exceptional service.

ARE THERE WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS?
Yes, helicopters are subject to weight limitations:
- Jet Ranger: 140 kg per seat or an average of 85 kg across all four seats.
- Long Ranger: 140 kg per seat or an average of 75 kg across all six seats.
If weight limits are exceeded, we may need to upgrade to a larger helicopter (additional costs apply) or reduce passenger numbers.
ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS?
Yes, we have the following age guidelines for our helicopter flights:
- Children under 2 years old: May sit on a parent or guardian’s lap, but must be securely held.
- Children 2 years old and above: Must occupy their own seat, and will be charged the full rate.
This ensures the safety and comfort of all passengers on board.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER DOESN’T COOPERATE?
If the weather makes flying unsafe, we will let you know. If rescheduling is not possible and the flight can’t proceed, a refund will be provided.
WHO GETS A WINDOW SEAT?
While we’d love for everyone to enjoy a window seat, rest assured that the views from the middle seats are still fantastic. The helicopter’s design ensures that all passengers have a clear view of the stunning scenery!

WILL OTHER PASSENGERS JOIN OUR FLIGHT?
No, all flights are private, allowing you to enjoy an exclusive experience with your pilot.
CAN WE FLY OVER THE KRUGER NATIONAL PARK?
Unfortunately no. The Kruger Park is a protected area with restricted airspace.
HOW CAN WE PAY?
We accept major credit cards and direct bank transfers. Bookings and payments can also be made securely through our online portal.
WHAT SHOULD WE BRING?
Don’t forget your camera, spare batteries, and an additional memory card to capture the incredible views.
CAN YOU ARRANGE TRANSPORTATION FROM OUR HOTEL?
Yes, we can assist in organizing road transfers to the take-off point through Seasons in Africa Transfers. Let us know in advance, and we’ll sort it out.
